Dominic Kennedy
Design systems consultant, usability engineer, designer, musician, and artist based in Düsseldorf, Germany. I help teams design usable systems, craft better experiences, and find clarity in complexity.
With a background in technology, design, and human behavior (MSc Usability Engineering), I create solutions that are functional, enjoyable, and effective.
What I do
Usability Consulting
I identify and solve usability issues through research, testing, and evidence-based recommendations.
Design Systems
I create and maintain design systems (tokens, components, documentation) that bring consistency and scalability to product development.
Product Architecture
I design the underlying structure of products, foundations that evolve with changing needs while maintaining usability and performance.
Workshops & Training
Workshops on usability, design systems, and human-centered design, where teams build skills and adopt practices that improve their products.
Beyond work
Outside work, I play the bodhrán (an Irish frame drum) and explore traditional Celtic music.
I'm building Timeline OS — a personal operating system for capturing and connecting ideas, experiences, and knowledge. Part note-taking system, part personal wiki, part life dashboard.
